When darkness falls and surrounds you…
I’m coming to hold you now.
… I will always protect you, my love. Feel my love.
春野 サクラ: ザ·ラスト
Haruno Sakura: The Last
i need this as a poster on my wall so i can stare at it all day every day
Based on an Ein Lee’s illustration.
I kind of always wanted to draw her with urban clothes, so hey why not now and that’s the final result.
title: the beginning
summary: When you know, you know. —Sasuke/Sakura.
word count: 725
notes: please don’t mind me as I decide to take this opportunity to try my hand at second pov
He is the boy on the precipice, always unsteady and ready to swing to either side at the drop of a knife. He’s a villain, he’s a hero, he’s callous, he’s kind.
There is no brand that fits the mold that he occupies, simultaneously detestable and lovable. He is a complex that you cannot wrap your mind around, but there are a few things that are clear: he has little that he considers pivotal, and despite all evidence to the contrary, somehow, she is one of them.
Title: inhibitions gone
Summary: It’s only when he’s wasted out of his mind that he allows himself to want to be with her.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Naruto.
Prompt: Night Out
Warning(s): Sexual tension.
Comments: inspired by ilabarattolo’s art of drunken!Sasuke and sober!Sakura.
She sees him on her way home from work, just a few streets away from a popular town bar. It’s been a pretty long day, and she’s more tired than she cares to admit, having dealt with too many pressing, self-entitled idiots, but his presence changes everything for her, tipping her world back in balance and instantly bringing a small, delighted smile to her lips. She loves that seeing Sasuke makes everything seem alright, in so little time. Loves that he can lift her mood by merely just being there.
Fondly, her eyes soften, and before long her mouth parts open to call his name. But she stops herself once she remembers how little time Sasuke seems to have had by himself, always in the company of others and being dragged to places he doesn’t seem to want to go to—and that perhaps he is alone right now because he wants to be. A little disappointed, but still happy to have seen him at all, she moves to turn to the road that would lead her home again, throwing one last glance to the man she loves.
But she freezes when she sees him already looking at her, with furrowed eyebrows and evident confusion. And she isn’t sure, but she thinks he might look a little ego-wounded, too. She wonders why.
“Sakura,” he finally manages to acknowledge, his voice a low murmur.
Swallowing the lump in her throat, Sakura smiles and shifts to face him again, raising one delicate hand to wave at him timidly.
summary: he had always retreated to the darkness, but sakura fought her way towards the light.
a/n: pt.1 of my sick days catch up. (on ao3)
They all continually put their lives on the line, and so they all were brave in the face of death. Sasuke had seen the Kohona 12 falter and break, but he wasn’t sure he was able to accuse them of cowardice. They were brave.
Sakura was the same. He could hazily remember her throwing herself in front of demons for him at the cost of her own life. At the time the decision had puzzled him, just as it did now. Sure, Sakura said she “loved” him all the time, but he’d never believed it more than that moment, when she hadn’t said anything at all.
From her silent confession armed with just a kunai knife, Sakura had grown stronger. He knew she’d risked more than he might ever know for others he might not ever meet. It was strange, he felt as if their relationship spanned a lifetime, and yet he hadn’t been able to read past the first couple chapters in her story. To think, or rather know, that Sakura had lived a life so separate from him was unsettling…even if he had chosen the path himself.
Whatever he thought about her, she was far separate from him now. He couldn’t pretend that she was still his. As he did with everyone else, he’d put his guard up around her.
It was lucky that Sakura was braver than he was.
